Mrs. Christina Stephens
I believe teaching is a work of art. Pablo Picasso aptly stated, “Every child is an artist…” I believe this whole-heartedly. Furthermore, I believe every teacher is an artist. I've always wanted to be a painter or musician, but lacking those talents I have become an artist of education. As an educator,I teach students that life is a blank canvas to be filled with all their future dreams and aspirations; it is painted with hard work and a continual determination to learn.
I graduated magna cum laude from Southern Utah University with a degree in English with an emphasis in Secondary Education and Spanish. I then attended UNLV to get a degree in Elementary Education, where my passion for teaching was truly ignited. Later, as a stay at home mom, I both homeschooled my own children and tutored many others. I also worked for 6 years with CCSD as both a 1st and 2nd grade teacher. In my career, I have worked with a variety of students, K-12.
